Need help with Girls names, we don't like unusual names but we also don't like common names. Any Suggestions?
It sounds to me like what you want is a good standard name that doesn't happen to be popular right now. Something you can do is google a website that shows the most popular baby names by decade. In the 1930s for example popular names were Helen, Marion, Esther, Mildred, Norma, Loraine, Dorothy, Barbara and lots of others. If you find a name you like that was popular over a number of years or decades but not lately you will have a name that doesn't seem freakish and will probably become popular again but not until after your girl has had a chance to be the only one in her class.
Reply:I totally know you mean!!!! I went thru the same thing and finally just stuck with a name i loved with a good meaning.... giving my son the name NATHAN.... i just love the way that looks.....





Try taking two common ordinary names you like and combine them.... like Christina and Tiffany you can have Christany. I LOVE that name! Brandy and alyssa are both names i like but to change it up i liked Bralyssa. i think Braelynn is a gorgeous name! So I hope that helped a bit....

Reply:Do a normal name but spell it different. My nephews name is Isaiah but we spelled it Izayah to match his dad Issac which is spelled Izac. A girl Ashley-Ashleigh, Jessica-jezica, Brianna-Breanna, yeah you get the idea Oh yeah combining is good. Shela + Denise=shenise
