Names of common airplanes flown commercially today?
Boeing and Airbus make the vast majority of commercial airliners used by most major airlines these days. Each company makes many different models from short-mid range planes to long haul aircraft. Many airlines use planes made by both companies, there are also many smaller planes made by companies such as Bombardier, Fokker and others that some airlines use, mostly on shorter routes. You can check the models from Airbus and Boeing on these websites:

Reply:Boeing, main users are United Airlines, Delta Airlines, Singapore Airlines, American Airlines, most American based airlines use them. They make the most used aircraft in the world- the 737

Airbus, used by almost all European Airlines, since it is a French company. Also used by some US carriers, but not a majority in most American based airline fleets

Bombardier- hard to say who uses them most, most, almost all regional carriers use them

Embraer

McDonnell-Douglas (bought out by Boeing)- American Airlines, Delta Airlines
