What are common pet names for babies?
I always talk baby talk..... I can't help it.... its just flows out of my mouth.

My sons name is preston..... so I always call him my preston pumpkin poo.

I call dirty diapers..... yuckys, stinkys, doodys,

Bottles are called baabaa's

I now call my husband dada

Diapers.... are always called diaps.

I call blankets bankies....... or snuggies....

And then I also am always rhymning things I say..... like are your comfy snufy or cutie pootie and so on.
Reply:do you know Baby talk is more effective than regular speech in getting an infant's attention. Studies have shown that infants actually prefer to listen to this type of speech

Shore and other researchers believe that baby talk contributes to mental development, as it helps teach the child the basic function and structure of language. Studies have found that responding to an infant's babble with meaningless babble aids the infant's development; while the babble has no logical meaning, the verbal interaction demonstrates to the child the bidirectional nature of speech, and the importance of verbal feedback.

Pacifier: binkie

Poopy: Messy shorts

thats all I can think of at the moment

Oh and about nicknames for babies. My DD is Peanut and my DS is Junebugs or Junior.
Reply:I never say caca or doody. I say poop and pee, diaper, and pacifier or passy.

I don't think there are "common" nicknames for babies. We parents just make them up as we go along. My son is Bean or Baby Bean, Booger Head, and Peanut or Peanut Head. I don't know why or how he got these nicknames, they just came about and have stuck.

2) diapy

3) pee pee

4) poopy

when she is sleepy I ask if she is ti ti, if she is hungry I am like you want your bah bah? (she is 12 weeks old so she loves little short words like that)

My nickname for her is chubby cheeks (If you see her you would understand, so cute!) or just baby girl.
Reply:My husband's family calls poop hockey. I am not really sure about that. I think it started a while ago with Ucky and somehow became hockey, but they call it hockey.

As for his pee pee, winkle, dingus, there are so many more that I have heard. A lot from my husband's family. They seem to have created their very own language.
Reply:We call my daughter Em (short for Emily) and Stinky. Sad but true. She earned it!

As for nicknames for items, we don't have a lot. We use poop and pee. For meal terms, we use bottle, lunch, and supper. We refer to all foods by the correct name. As for the pacifier, we call it a nuk. And her blankets are either blankies or snugglies.

Reply:Never would take a pacifier so that didn't matter much to us, but we said diaper, and still say potty and poop-poop. Wait until the kid starts naming parts of their body... that's when the real fun starts. Mine says pecker and balls, I didn't know what else to do :)
Reply:hahaha!

poo/wee: poops

pacifier: choopy

breastmilk: yummies

diaper: didy

baby: scooter (because she scoots around when she cries ) or pickles (because its funny).

2. diaper/butt cover (lol)

3. pee

4. stinker butt...poopie
Reply:I call my son Bubby. I don't know where it came from... But it stuck.

2 - Diapie

3 - Pee

4 - Poopies.

Wow, I never realized how much baby talk I use. LOL
Reply:we call our 1 year old bugaboo or bubba. his pacifier was a binky, his bottle a baba, when he has dirty pants we say stinkys.
