How do you pick names for your child?Should it have a strong unusual meaning,or a safe and common style?

Pick a safe and common name (but not so common the EVERY stinking one of their friends will have it too.)


Remember that you kid will have to live with the name you pick for the rest of their life.

Stand either at the bottom of the stairs or the other side of the house and yell the first, middle and last names togther which ever one flows the best thats the one.
Reply:I picked my daughters out of the old english dictionary and wanted it to mean something and have importance

Reply:I went with unusual you walkinto a movie and can find them you yell out "john" how many johns are going to turn around. Alot. you yell "Grey" (my sons name) how many people just my son.
Reply:You pick something that you and the father can agree on. If you want something with meaning, then do that. Just don't go overboard and combine a billion names to make one. Thats not cool.
Reply:It should be whatever you want it to be. Children become what you name them. Parents put a lot of time and thought into it.
Reply:Whatever you want the name to be is what it should be. Either one of said styles that you favor.
