well if you can't find it, i guess theres always kimchi. too spicy for my taste though

I've never heard of "spicy lettuce." But if that's what they call it where you live, ask at a produce stand, grocery store, something like that. If you eat it at a restaurant or somebody's house, they might also know the name for it.
Local names can vary quite a bit, so you'd probably need to ask around where you live.
